It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of
Heather Wade on Saturday, 3rd May 2025.
Heather had been a devoted member of Colchester Indoor Bowls Club since January 1990. She served as League Secretary for around 18 years, a role she carried out with dedication and care. In recognition of her outstanding service, she was awarded Life Membership.
Heather also managed our book library and jigsaw collection, raising valuable funds for two charities very close to her heart—St Helena Hospice and Essex Air Ambulance. She also ran the Whist Club, contributing greatly to the club’s social life.
Heather’s kindness, energy, and long-standing commitment to the club touched many lives. She will be dearly missed by all of us at CIBC.
